Early Beginnings
Although Gary & Fran Inskeep
have owned horses together for
over 37 years, it all started long
before that. Gary had been
successfully training and
showing his own horses in the
Ohio Western Horse Association.
He started with Show Ponies &
Horses but quickly moved onto
AQHA & Open Western Pleasure, Trail &
Reining horses. Taking home numerous
awards in these events with horses that went
onto compete at breed shows, earning them
national recognition. Fran had a more modest
beginning showing her pony & grade mare at
the county fair and a few local shows. Some of
her highlights were representing her 4-H club
with her mare at the Ohio State Fair & winning
at the local shows.
The Tradition Continues
In 1969, Gary and Fran married and purchased 11 acres with a small horse barn and house. Continuing to show at OWHA shows where some APHA approved classes were being offered, an interest in the Paint breed was sparked. They purchased their first Paint horse in 1970. Interest grew, more horses were purchased, foals started to arrive, Inskeep Paint Horses was born. Over the years the eleven acres became twenty acres, the little horse barn grew into a 20 stall barn with an attached indoor arena, and indoor round pen/breeding barn, broodmare shed, etc. to what it is today. They've had so many horses over the years, here are just a few you might remember:
Owned/Showed Rapid Roper, 1st Corp's Sis, Triple Ono, Miss Robin Jay, Lil Red Robinhood, Total Predictive, JMK Rhoda, Quintessas Temon, Totally Astar Byfar LK, Sammies Pal.
Their Stallions First was Royal Loot, then Explicit and now Complete Ado
Breeder of Gran Loot, Big Leagure, Lady Gains, G Im Extra Special, U Sure Do, Lord Sheza Loper, Explicit Factor, Explicit Cash Deposit, G Im Totally Kool, Ms Ruby Tradition, Heza Special Doo, Zips Complete Asset, Ados Divine Diva, Ados Wee Bit Complete, Color Me Complete, Ado Can Do, and many, many more.
These and other Inskeep horses have accumulated countless APHA ROM's & Superior Awards, APHA Champions, Honor Roll & World Champions, numerous Futurity & State winners.
In the future
Gary & Fran plan to continue breeding for "World Class" Paint horses. Be it for that horse that displays the ideal pleasure horse style or the statue perfect halter horse. Horses that are of sound mind and body.
